Charles H. Ripp MD is a practicing physician in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He began writing seriously in high school while living in a rural Wisconsin community. As a high school senior he won the Scholastica magazine national student award in writing for a story in the form of a poem titled: The Lights Went Out In Green Bay. This revered the passing of Vince Lombardi, the great Green Bay Packer football coach.
Dr. Ripp won an esteemed award as a student at Creighton University by writing a Greek mythological play in modern times. The fictional story reflected the drama and difficulty of modern day Jesuit priests handling depression, poverty, loneliness and celibacy. Few have written about successful priests giving up substantial human interaction for God. Dr. Ripp has written many published medical articles in varying disciplines involving family practice, anesthesiology and pain management.
